Abstract:		 In June 2014 Archaeological Solutions Ltd (AS) carried out an archaeological evaluation at the Former Hanson Concrete Products, Sproughton Road, Sproughton, Suffolk (TM 136 452). It is proposed to construct a new industrial unit. The site comprises a former yard on the north western side of Sproughton Road, Sproughton, and it is proposed to erect a stockholding unit on the north eastern part of the yard area. The site lies within an area of archaeological potential, highlighted by entries on the Suffolk County Historic Environment Record (HER), in a topographic location overlooking the valley of the River Gipping that would have been favourable to early occupation. In the event no archaeological features or finds were present.
