Abstract: |
This report describes the results of an archaeological trial trench evaluation carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology on land land south of Little Rose Pub, Orchard Road, Haslingfield, Cambridgeshire (NGR TL 4078 5206) on the 11th May 2015. The archaeological work was commissioned by Wrenbridge in response to a planning condition attached to the construction of residential dwellings. The aim of the work was to characterise the archaeological potential of the proposed development area. The evaluation identified two ditches and a large pit, all of which were undated, but which may relate to medieval activity in Haslingfield village as is suggested by other archaeological work in the vicinity of the site. |
