Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on behalf of CgMs Consulting at Bannerbrook Park, Coventry and Solihull (NGR 427300 279300 ; SMR ref BBP04). The evaluation revealed that the historic landscape of the area was agricultural dating from the medieval period. Ridge and furrow was recorded in the base of trenching at the western end of the site. The Massey Ferguson factory, built in the late 1930's was associated with major landscaping and truncation of the natural deposit sequence. Traces of post-medieval field boundaries were recorded in this area. There was no evidence for significant archaeological deposits or artefacts. |
