Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation and watching brief was conducted for the Hilllfairs Farmers Ltd in advance of and during the construction of two poultry breeder units and associated landscaping at Walpole Old Hall Farm. No archaeological features or artefacts were encountered during this project. The very deep deposits of colluvium encountered within the development area were probably created by the sandy natural geology and long standing arable landuse.
