Abstract: |
Rubicon Heritage, on behalf of AB Heritage Ltd, undertook the excavation of 20 trenches at Blaby Solar Farm. The trenching confirmed that there is a concentration of archaeology in the northwest quadrant of the site. Overall there are was a main probable enclosure to the north, a possible second enclosure and outlying linear features to the west and another area consisting of linear features to the south of the quadrant. Pottery recovered during the evaluation indicated that the remains were of Roman date. Where datable the material seems to be of 2nd century date. |
