Abstract:		 Gislingham, land at Jaylands, Mill Street (GSG 055, TM 0686 7187) evaluation trenching for a single dwelling development close to recorded evidence for activity of medieval date did not reveal any archaeological features. However one pottery sherd of medieval date was recovered as a stray find and the former landowner had a further 10 sherds of similar date collected over the years when this area was a cultivated garden plot.
