Abstract: |
Archaeological surveys undertaken at Withypool Hill, Withypool, Exmoor National Park, Somerset (centred on NGR SS 8392 3439), were carried out by AC archaeology in partnership with Substrata in January and February 2017. The surveys were commissioned by the Exmoor National Park Authority (ENPA), and funded by Historic England to investigate the archaeology of Withypool Hill, in particular, the two Scheduled Monuments of Withypool Stone Circle and a bowl barrow. The results of the surveys will be used to inform future management and prevent further damage, both to the archaeological sites and any buried features associated with them. |
