Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at land north of Condover, Shropshire (NGR SJ 48941 05955) on behalf of Mott MacDonald working with Mott MacDonald Bentley for Severn Trent Water, who intends to construct a new rising main, which is being undertaken using permitted development rights. The evaluation confirmed the presence of a pit alignment as observed on an aerial photograph, and this is presumed to be of prehistoric date,. The only other archaeological evidence recovered was 18th/19th century pottery from the ploughsoil.
