Abstract:		 Flixton, The Lodge, Church Road (FLN 095, TM 3102 8696) evaluation trenching for a single dwelling development close to an area that has produced extensive evidence for multi-period activity revealed top and subsoil deposits with a combined depth of over 1600mm. These deposits are interpreted as filling a large hollow of probable natural origin. The only feature cutting the upper part of the subsoil was a pit of mid-20th century date.
