Abstract:		 This report presents the results of archaeological works undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group at Dreghorn Barracks, Edinburgh(NGR: NT 22748 68177). The works consisted of the excavation of five evaluation trenches representing 10% of the proposed development area and a metal detecting survey of the footprints of the proposed buildings. The evaluation revealed w well sorted loam directly overlying a sub-soil of orange-brown boulder clay. Modern drainage and service cuts were observed. The metal detecting survey produced a small assemblage of modern coinage, ring pulls and other detritus. No culturally significant material was recovered.
