Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundworks associated with the construction of a housing development at land at Carloggas Grove, St Columb Major, Cornwall. A detailed assessment of the chronology of the site was hampered by the lack of dating evidence recovered. Undated ditches and pits were identified across the site. Some of the ditches are parallel to an extant field boundary and may be of post-medieval date. The northern corner of a possible rectangular enclosure was identified in the south-eastern part of the site. The ditch had a distinctive profile and it is possible that this feature is of Roman date.
