Abstract: |
Britannia Archaeology was commissioned to prepare an archaeological desk based assessment on Stoke-by- Nayland Golf Course, Suffolk, TL 96711 36815. The assessment will support an application for the proposed development of the site which will involve: The re modelling and re development of parts of the existing golf course; construction and landscaping of five areas of land to create new holes; this includes the construction of; Approximately 33 new sections of fairway, 67 sand bunkers and 11 new water features. The area lies in an area of dispersed settlement. Further work was required at the site. |
