Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Lark Energy to undertake archaeological mitigation during construction of a solar farm on land located at Hale Farm, adjacent to Boscombe Down Airfield, near Amesbury, Wiltshire, (centred on NGR 418300, 139150). At the start of the site works, the area of the proposed mitigation comprising the pit cluster was omitted from the area impacted by development. This area was fenced during the construction works to prevent any damage and photographic evidence taken both before and after construction to demonstrate that the archaeological sensitive area remained unaffected by the development. |
