Abstract: |
A small evaluation, comprising three trenches, was undertaken on land opposite Oak View, off Mill Hill on the edge of the village of Peasenhall in December 2018 in advance of the development of a plot of land for housing. A single undated ditch was discovered within the trenches (though it matches up with a boundary visible on early Ordnance Survey maps of the area, disappearing between 1890 and 1905), with a post-medieval coin being located within the topsoil deposits. No further work is anticipated as being required in order to satisfy the requirements of the planning permission as stated by the Borough Council. |
