Abstract: |
Finningham, land south of Westhorpe Road (FNN 027, TM 0634 6906) evaluation trenching for a residential development on the western side of the village revealed a shallow pit and two small ditches of uncertain date. In addition a moderately large group of later 2nd century AD Roman-British pottery sherds was recovered from the top of the subsoil in another trench though no archaeological features could be defined in this area and a metal detector search only recovered stray finds of later Post medieval date from the site. |
