Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundworks associated with the construction of a slurry lagoon on land north of Knight's Furlong Plantation, Tarlton, Gloucestershire. Two foci of archaeological features, predominantly pits, were identified at the northern and southern extent of the development area. Two pits in the southern group contained early prehistoric pottery and worked flint. It remains unproven, if probable, whether the remaining undated features are broadly contemporary. Three large, undated quarry scoops and a series of tree-throws were also identified. |
