Abstract: |
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Hadden Group to undertake an archaeological evaluation prior to development at a parcel of land adjacent to Kirk House, Balkerach Street, Doune. The need for and scope of the works were determined by Stirling Council, who are advised on archaeological matters by the Stirling Council Archaeologist Dr Murray Cook. The evaluation was undertaken to ascertain whether buried archaeological remains survive onsite. Two modern postholes and several demolition cuts filled with rubble were uncovered by the evaluation. No further archaeological features were encountered. |
