Abstract: |
During February 2017, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation at 14a Shipbourne Road, Tonbridge, Kent. The work was carried out to fulfil a condition attached to planning consent for the residential development of the site. The evaluation comprised the excavation of four trenches. The evaluation identified a ditch containing modern pottery, orientated broadly parallel to Shipbourne Road, as well as a small area of bioturbation, most likely related to a former orchard located within the site and depicted on historic mapping. |
