Abstract: |
The observations over four distinct areas (new access road and compound, Lagoon site, Phase 1 and Phase 1a extraction sites) have uncovered features of archaeological origin. The earliest features comprise two small clusters of Middle Bronze Age pits containing pottery and burnt flint. Late Iron Age features were also revealed in two areas, one probably the edge of a settlement, accompanied by a small cremation cemetery, and the other an extensive field system. |
