Abstract: |
Archaeology South-East was commissioned by H2OK Systems Ltd. to undertake an archaeological watching brief was maintained during groundworks for a flood alleviation scheme at Church Farm Holiday Village, Pagham, West Sussex, specifically in the area of the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Beckets Barn. Owing to the pre-agreed shallow depth of the groundworks no archaeological features or deposits were encountered and no significant finds were recovered from the overburden owing to the pre-agreed shallow depth of the groundworks. The scheme was successful in not disturbing significant buried archaeological deposits. |
