Abstract: |
A gradiometer survey was undertaken with the aim of ascertaining if the earthwork noted by RCHME was in fact due to the presence of a ploughed out long barrow. It was hoped that other features associated with the presumed barrow would also be located, should they exist. The gradiometer survey has clearly located a ditch type anomaly confirming the presence of a long barrow. There are suggestions of other isolated responses that may be of archaeological interest. |
