Abstract: |
BAE Systems intend to develop areas of Walney Airfield. The county archaeologist required an evaluation to examine archaeological remains on the site. A total of six trenches were excavated across the site targeted at the remains of WWII buildings relating to Walney Airfield. The trenches revealed that the floor and foundations of the buildings survived to varying degrees. |
