Abstract: |
Archaeology South-East, the contracting division of The Centre for Applied Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, were commissioned by CgMs Ltd to undertake an archaeological evaluation in advance of proposed development at All Saint Church, Kingston-upon-Thames, Greater London. The excavation of an area of 250 square metres within the area of proposed development has revealed the remains of headstones and tombs relating to burials covered over during the later 19th and 20th century buried beneath a layer of 19th century made ground. Multiple articulated burials have been identified at a depth of 7.568mAOD. |
