Abstract:		 In February 2019, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological excavation of land south of Yalberton Road, Paignton, Devon. Three excavation areas were opened; these were centred on early Neolithic pits and a possible further pit/ditch terminal recorded by a previous trial trench evaluation. The excavation confirmed that there were no additional Neolithic pits or further prehistoric activity in these areas of the site. The excavation also established that the previouslyrecorded unknown feature was probably a tree throw, rather than a ditch terminus or pit.
