Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, comprising thirteen 30m x 1.8m trial trenches, was carried out on behalf of CgMs Consulting. Geological natural sandy clay or sand and gravels were exposed in all trenches but no significant archaeological deposits or finds were recorded. Evidence of medieval or post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation was revealed as furrows were identified in most trenches extending roughly north/south across the site. |
