Abstract: |
In advance of development the roof claddings had been removed from two farm buildings at Treeton. the smaller of the two had a three-bay roof of oak and dated to the mid 18th century. many of the timbers had been reused and some showed evidence of timber framing. the larger building was a range of three wings of six, seven and nine bays. the roof was constructed of soft-wood with two hipped corners and dated from the mid 19th century. the roof timbers were photographically recorded |
