Abstract: |
Stoke-on-Trent Archaeology Service carried out a watching brief during the residential redevelopment of the site in 2019. The project identified significant disturbance related to the demolition of structures on site, but did record evidence of the cellar of the former c.18th-century farmhouse/ Swallow's Nest public house, which appeared to have been built in at least two phases, and walls and floor surfaces related to demolished agricultural buildings |
