Abstract:
Excavations at Hinxton and Ickleton have revealed a multiperiod landscape with the major phases being Iron Age and Roman. Both earlier and later remains were discovered and the Saxon features included five sunken-featured buildings, thought to relate to the settlement discovered to the north in 1993-4.
