Abstract:		 An archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken by AC archaeology ahead of a new poultry unit on land at Butsford Barton, Colebrooke, Devon. The evaluation comprised the machine-excavation of four trial trenches totalling 70 metres in length, with each trench 1.8m in width. These were positioned to provide a sample coverage of the site. No archaeological features or deposits were exposed within the trenches and no finds were recovered.
