Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Arrow Geophysics on behalf of South East Water to undertake an electrical resistivity tomography survey, over land at Colewood Reservoir near Rochester, in order to investigate the appearance of sinkholes at the site with the aim of identifying any further near surface voids. The survey was carried out using a Campus Tigre system with up to 64 requires just four electrodes arranged at a spacing of 1-2m in a Wenner array. Five resistivity profiles were acquired and do not seem to have identify any voids. The only area of increased resistivity was at the Southern end of profile 1, a possible increase in porosity, possibly related to the sinkhole which has developed nearby. |
