Abstract: |
An assessment of the archaeological impact of your proposed development as described in the planning drawing dated 01/11/12, Drawing No. 959-MG-01. was conducted by Archaeology Warwickshire, in accordance with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) Standards and Guidance for archaeological advice by historic environment services (2014), with a view to determining the need, or otherwise, for field evaluation and/or mitigation, taking into consideration the significance of any potential archaeological remains and the potential impact upon them as required by Stratford District Council. The development was at a scale that will have an impact on any archaeological deposits present. Archaeology Warwickshire therefore recommended that an archaeological evaluation be carried out prior to development works continuing in order to provide the planning authority with the required information as to whether archaeological remains are to be disturbed by the development and whether mitigation is necessary. |
