Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was carried out in the field to the north of Baddesley Clinton house, on behalf of the National Trust, in advance of the installation of a ground-source heat pump exchange. No significant archaeological deposits or finds were recorded although one trench exposed a dark stony surface and a shallow pit, scoop or tree hole which contained a layer of charcoal, and two medieval furrows, one of which contained an amount of broken hand-made tile.
