Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during the groundworks associated with the construction of two houses at the site of the R.N. French Building, The Street, Sedlescombe, East Sussex on the 15th February 2010. No archaeological features were discovered and a small number of artefacts recovered, all of a late 19th or early 20th century date. All of these would appear to be associated with the construction and recent demolition of the R.N. French Building that appears to have occupied the site since the early 20th century. Chris |
