Abstract: |
The excavation revealed a dense cluster of archaeological deposits representing components of a medieval settlement. It was possible to identify three phases of activity spanning the 12th and 13th centuries. The changing nature of the features from each phase, and the fact that most of the pottery assemblages were not mixed, suggest that activity on the site may not have been continuous. Finds other than pottery, unfortunately, were negligible. It is intended that the results will be published as a short note. |
