Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to carry out a 15 trench Archaeological Evaluation on land adjacent to Woodside Road, Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire centred on National Grid Reference (NGR) 510675 201700. Proposals are for a residential development including a primary school. Features were recorded in three trenches, comprising a Victorian rubbish pit and a few undated pit-like cuts and deposits. All but one trench contained artefacts, all but a few were residual in the topsoil and subsoil; finds include prehistoric flint and a variety of post-medieval-modern debris.
