Abstract: |
Between January and April 2011 Oxford Archaeology undertook the excavation of a single test pit and maintained a watching brief at Hedsor Wharf, Buckinghamshire (centred at SU 9039 8605). The watching brief observed evidence for the 19th and 20th century stabilisation of the river's edge that overlay a buried topsoil horizon that probably dates to the 19th century. No evidence for any earlier activity was encountered. |
