Abstract: |
April 2008. Oxford Archaeology carried out a field evaluation at 23-25 High Street, Marlow. The evaluation revealed layers of post medieval occupation deposits cut by a chalk block lined feature. This is a probable well, or possibly a cess pit, which had been reused as a rubbish pit in the 19th/20th centuries. No evidence for any earlier periods, including any possible structures, were observed |
