Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken on groundworks for a new agricultural building at Manor Farm, Upton Road, Powick, Worcestershire. The work was carried out in accordance with a WSI approved by Worcestershire County Council's archaeologists who are the archaeological advisors to the Malvern Hills Planning Authority and produced to satisfy Planning Condition 5 placed on planning permission. The formation level of the work was entirely within the topsoil and did not penetrate the lower cultivation soils to reach natural geology. A small assemblage of modern material was recovered from the topsoil. |
