Abstract: |
3.1 Ha of magnetometry using Bartington Grad 601/1 fluxgate magnetometer at 1m line spacing and 8 readings per metre. 0.18 ha of earth resistance using Tr Systems meter at 0.5m reading interval and half metre mobile probe spacing on twin probe array. The survey was carried out to follow up on the clients' fieldwalking which had located Roman pottery. The remains located by magnetometry may well be prehistoric and bear little or no relationship to the Roman finds. The remains detected by magnetometry may be in a band between colluvium to the west and alluvium to the east. |
