Abstract: |
An archaeological trial trench excavation was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology at Harborough Road, Desborough, Northamptonshire prior to the proposed development on the site. Thirteen trenches were excavated with twelve of the trenches revealing only remnant ridge and furrow cultivation. Trench eleven contained three archaeological features; three shallow gullies and a possible pit or ditch terminal, no finds were recovered from the fills. All the features were aligned in the same direction as the ridge and furrow which could indicate they are associated with previous agriculture. |
