Abstract:
In August and September 2021, Cotswold Archaeology carried continuous archaeological monitoring during groundworks associated with the demolition of extant structures and the construction of a new extension and separate workshop at Church End, Church Lane, Wenhaston with Mells hamlet, Suffolk. Five pits, one modern, two undated and two of which can be dated to the post medieval period, were identified along with a well lined with modern bricks. Artefactual material was collected from four contexts in two pits with a sample taken from one pit.
