Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 5.6 hectares of grassland. A former field boundary visible on available mapping has been identified, along with a number of cut features of possible archaeological origin. A negative linear anomaly is related to a bank or earthwork of possible archaeological origin. Closely spaced parallel linear anomalies provide evidence of agricultural activity. A number of areas of amorphous magnetic variation are natural in origin. The remaining features are all modern in origin and include a land drain, services, magnetic debris associated with a tennis court and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish. |
