Abstract:
Excavation of 4 car stacker pits as part of conversion of existing building to luxury flats. The excavation was located inside the castle bailey ditch of Bedford Castle Archaeological features consists of early-mid Saxon to Medieval remains relating to the pre-castle and early castle periods. A watching brief including building recording was carried out during the conversion of the standing remains.
