Abstract: |
Twenty three evaluation trenches were targeted to investigate geophysical anomalies highlighted by a geophysical survey undertaken across the site in 2013, as well as to provide a representative sample of the available site area. The evaluation revealed archaeological evidence dating from the late Bronze Age to the early Post-medieval period, with at least four distinct phases of activity noted. From the results of both the evaluation and the geophysical survey, the archaeological remains appear to be contained within the northern half of the site. |
