The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Five trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision. A concentration of archaeological features appeared in three of the five trenches. These were mainly ditches and small pits, mainly of medieval or post-medieval date. Some residual prehistoric (possibly Iron Age) and Saxon pottery and prehistoric struck flints hint at earlier activity but there were no features certainly of these periods.
