The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An area of 1220 sq m was stripped mechanically under archaeological supervision and all archaeological features excavated or sampled using hand tools. The excavation revealed a ring-gully roundhouse and a post-built roundhouse within a partial enclosure. Pottery was almost entirely late Iron Age although a slightly earlier (late middle Iron Age) start date is possible. Two radiocarbon dates confirm the occupation spanned the 1st century BC and 1st century AD. A deposit of cremated human bone was undated but presumably related. Unusually for a Wealden site, the economy appears to have been agricultural rather than related to iron production. A full publication report will be be produced.
