The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Nineteen trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision. A metal detector survey was also undertaken. No features of archaeological interest were observed and the metal detector survey recovered only modern items. A single struck flint and sherds of medieval pottery all from one vessel were recovered from the subsoil. There was no evidence relating to the Civil War battle.
