Abstract: |
Evaluation consisting in 3 trial trenches, with different lengths, which were excavated in level spits using a 360º excavator equipped with a toothless bucket, under the constant supervision and instruction of the monitoring archaeologist. Machine excavation proceeded until either the archaeological horizon or the natural geology was exposed. No archaeological deposits or features observed during the excavation of the three trial trenches. Minimal site records have been scanned as a security copy and are held at Wessex Archaeology. |
