Abstract: |
A brief for Level 2 Historic Building Recording and an Observation, Investigation and Recording during the groundworks was issued by Northamptonshire County Council. The work was carried out in accordance with the approved WSI (Coutts 2018) and the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Standards and Guidelines (2014) The buildings of the former Coach and Horses Inn have undergone extensive changes since they were originally built. It is likely that the inn and adjacent property, possibly constructed as the landlord’s house, with an arched entrance to the rear yard, were constructed in the second quarter of the 19th-century. |
