Abstract:		 Four trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and archaeological features investigated by hand. The trenches revealed that mich of the site has been truncated by 19th- and 20th-century development. Trench 1 revealed one ditch of late Saxon/early Norman date, at significant depth under buried subsoil which could indicate that further Medieval deposits could have survived under later development.
